During my Film Studies and Production coursework at DU, I have taken several screenwriting courses. Throughout these, I have realized my passion for the art and the complex nature of screenwriting as well. In the future, I hope to continue to add to my scriptwriting portfolio as I venture into the film industry.

"Childish"
This script was written for Advanced Screenwriting, where we all pitched concepts for a web series script, and three were chosen. This is the story that I pitched and ended up showrunning for the quarter. While I was in charge of the process and wrote the final episode individually, I had a lot of help from my two co-writers/group members. I am really proud of the story structure of this piece as well as the character building and comedic aspects that were tied in. Writing this piece really helped me realize my passion for scriptwriting and the fulfillment that it brings me. One day I hope to turn this script into a short film.

"Orchid"
This is the script we used to make our short film for the Narrative Film Production capstone class in the film department. While the script was originally written by Olivia McCann, we spent weeks rewriting and revising, a process that I led. I would argue that besides the heart of the story, we changed the entire plot. I am really proud of how far the script came and the development of the characters that we added through various plot points. The finished film has received various accolades including Winner of the London Indie Short Film Festival for the International Short Film category.

"Forever Young" Revision Assignment
This script was written as a revision assignment for my writing Capstone. It is a script version of my creative writing story, "7,8,9,10" that is featured on this site as well. This story is based off of an existential crisis I had at the mere age of 5.
